No bond given to suspected serial rapist

A 21-year-old man suspected in numerous rape cases in Detroit was arraigned on charges Wednesday morning.

Michael Sykes faces 20 counts for various criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping and assault. He was arrested last Friday and has been charged in connection to three of the six recent rapes in northwest Detroit.

He's accused of abducting three women at a gas station, and raping them in an abandoned garage.

We've also learned he lives in a nearby home with his mother, and that he served time as a juvenile for rape. DNA also links him to two other rape cases back in 2008, when he was just 14 years old.

Prosecutors say more charges are expected.

Sykes is due back in court April 29 and May 6. The judge ordered no bond.
