Off-duty Oakland Co. deputies face drunken driving charges for St. Patrick's Day accident

Two suspended Oakland County Sheriff's deputies have been charged after being arrested on St. Patrick's Day following a hit and run.

On March 17, the officers rear-ended a 70-year-old woman at University Drive near Paddock Street in Pontiac after leaving a bar.

Pontiac substation deputies found the off-duty deputies had been drinking while driving and they were arrested.

Drew Sacker, 29, is accused of drunk driving after authorities discovered his blood alcohol level was .2 -- more than twice the legal limit.

Suspended Deputy David Weaver III, 25, has also been charged.

Investigators said the men were drunk while still carrying their firearms. They're also accused of leaving the scene of the accident.
