Police suspect crashes into utility pole and house in chase
DETROIT - A chase by Troy police and Michigan State Police of a breaking and entering suspect ended with a crash in Detroit. He was then arrested.
The pursuit ended when the suspect hit and brought down a utility pole before crashing into a house at Forrest and Cooper near Detroit Metro Airport.
During the chase the suspect, who was driving an F-250, also sideswiped a Detroit police car.
No police officers were injured in the pursuit.
The suspect had been under surveillance by Troy police for a series of breaking and entering incidents.
