Sheriff: Pontiac Family Dollar robbed, deputies surround building

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office confirms it is responding to an armed robbery of a Pontiac Family Dollar.

The call came in to the Sheriff's Office around 3p.m. about a robbery at the Family Dollar at Baldwin and Columbia.

According to pictures made available from SkyFox, Oakland County Sheriff's Office members have surrounded the building.

Just before 3:30, law enforcement could be seen putting weapons back in their vehicles and loading up to leave. 

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office tells FOX 2 the suspect was not inside the building and they are actively searching for him.
