EAST TAWAS, Mich. (FOX 2) - Spend two weeks living in a historic lighthouse along Lake Huron this year.
Lighthouse keepers are needed at the Tawas Point Light, which reopened last year after a massive renovation project.
What to expect
Teams of four will spend two weeks living in the lighthouse keeper's dwelling, which includes two bedrooms that can sleep four adults, a kitchen, and a bathroom.
Volunteer keepers will lead tours and educate visitors about the lighthouse. They will also be responsible for basic maintenance like sweeping and removing trash.
Keepers will work about 30 hours a week, leaving them plenty of time to explore the area when they're done with their shifts.
To participate, each person must pay $250.
