Baseball is here! The Detroit Tigers start the season on the road in Miami for two games before Opening Day at Comerica on Friday. One of those boys of summer is coming home to a new house.

Miguel Cabrera has listed his Birmingham home for sale for just under $2 million. (And we really mean just under, it's $1,999,000) So what's it like? It was built in 2008 - the same year Miggy was traded to the Tigers - and has 5,762 square feet, a completed basement with home theater, and 3-car garage.

Ok - that's just the tip of the iceberg - this place looks stunning. The brick and stone custom built Tudor is in Birmingham's Quarton Lake Estates but doesn't lie behind some gated community. In fact, drive west on Maple bast Woodward, hang a right on Fairfax and - boom - there's the slugger's former home.

The home is being listed by Maureen Francis (CLICK HERE FOR THE LISTING). She said that after the home was built, the Cabrera's got to work.

"They finished add the theater in the basement, they finished the bonus room upstairs, and completed the patio and outdoor grill in the back," Francis said.

There are several things that caught our eye...probably the first is the staircase. Check out the carpet:

Oh yes, that is tiger-print carpet.

As for the theater, the Cabrera family must be comedy fans (especially Will Ferrell movies):

Oh - and don't even think about tracking muddy shoes through this house. Like many Michigan homes, this one has a mudroom - complete with several cabinets, drawers, and cubby holes to make sure your coats, shoes, and hats are put away:
