VIDEO: 3 men smash SUV through front door of Detroit store

DETROIT (WJBK) - The Detroit Police Department is trying to find three men who smashed their into a business on Seven Mile road with an SUV.

Police said the break-in happened last Thursday, May 24th around 5 a.m. at the Kwik Stop in the 6200 block of East Seven Mile.

Video shows the suspects used a brown or gold Chevy Tahoe to smash their way through the front door. After two attempts, the entire back of the SUV was able to get inside the store.

The store, which was closed at the time, had the front gate pulled down in front of it. That wouldn't stop the thieves. 

From there, the suspects jumped out of the car and tore the place apart even more. Police said they stole cigarettes, liquor and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police are hoping someone recognizes the three men or the vehicle. Anyone who knows anything is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
