Warren DoorDash fight: Driver and customer arrested after alleged shots-fired

A food delivery unexpectedly turned violent after shots were allegedly fired in Warren. As of Monday, the driver and the customer are facing charges.

What we know:

A DoorDash driver was arrested for allegedly pulling a gun on a customer and shooting it in the air on Sunday night on Republic Street.

"People introduce a gun to a situation that has no bearing on life or death. This is food," said Lt. John Gajewski with Warren police.

Police say 37-year-old Chaviante Collier was making a delivery when she allegedly got into an argument with a customer about the order.

Things turned physical, and then investigators say she took out a gun and fired it into the air.

"Bullets go up, which means they come down, and thankfully nobody got hit because obviously this would have been a far more tragic circumstance," Gajewski said.

Meanwhile, the customer was also arrested.

"So he had drove away from the scene and called us. He had several warrants—driving-related offenses and some other things. So he was taken into custody too, cause he was obviously involved in this and also contributed to the overall makeup of the scene," Gajewski said.

What's next:

On Monday, a judge set bond for the DoorDash driver at $7,500 cash surety.

"My daughter is 13, I just wanted to get her to a safe place. I wish I would have told her no, we couldn’t go DoorDash because we wouldn’t even be in this situation," Collier said in court.
