Woodbridge community names Rose Dog Park after fallen Sgt. Collin Rose

The official memorial medallion dedication at the Rose Dog Park, honors fallen Wayne State University Police K9 Officer Collin J. Rose.

Rose was killed back in November of 2016, he was patrolling near the Woodbridge area of Trumbell and Grand River when he was shot.

The Woodbridge neighborhood was deeply saddened when Officer Rose was killed in the line of duty. 

The community wanted to recognize his service and ultimate sacrifice with a permanent marker in the neighborhood.

There has been no trial for the man who was accused of shooting Rose, Raymond Durham. He has been found mentally incompetent for trial twice.
