Zingerman's Bakehouse Holiday Baking Crew

Zingerman's Bakehouse is hiring Holiday Baking Crew to work on making, baking and/or packaging hand-crafted, artisan pastries.

Requirements and skills needed for this job include:

  • 8-10 hours shifts between the hours of either 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. OR 5 p.m. – 3 a.m.
  • Weekend availability
  • Holiday availability
  • Availability to work 32 – 40 hours each week from October 19th to December 31th (we don't take any extra time off during these months)
  • This position is temporary and is expected to end on December 31st
  • Available for mandatory (paid) orientation on Thursday, Oct. 15th and Friday, Oct. 16th from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Essential Job Functions:
  • Multiple positions available to assist pastry staff in one or more of the following areas: Prep Scaling Pastry making Packaging pastries Dishwashing

  • Dishwashing
  • Live and uphold the Zingerman's Guiding Principles and all of Zingerman's Recipes
  • Treats customers and co-workers with courtesy and respect
  • Work safely around hot ovens, heavy equipment and sharp utensils
  • Work in a clean and organized fashion
  • Follow clearly documented food safety procedures
  • Take direction from multiple leaders
  • Communicate at a high level within the department and Bakehouse

 

Physical Demands:

  • Able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly during an 8-10 hour shift
  • Comfortable standing, lifting and bending for duration of an 8-10 hour shift
  • Comfortable with repetitive motion
