The Detroit Lions announced Wednesday they have placed starting guard T.J. Lang on the reserve-injured list with a neck injury effectively ending his season.

Lang, a Detroit native and graduate of Brother Rice, played college football at Eastern Michigan and was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL draft. Lang was a free agent signing in 2017 and started 13 games last season for the Lions, but has only played in six games this year.  He has started 113 NFL games during his career and has played in 138 total.  He still has one season remaining on his three-year deal.

The Lions also announced the signing of cornerback Mike Ford to the active roster and safety David Jones to the practice squad.
