Red Wings Announce 2016-17 Schedule for the 'Farewell Season at The Joe'

DETROIT (WJBK) - The Detroit Red Wings announced Tuesday their 2016-17 schedule for the "Farewell Season at The Joe".

The first regular season home game will be Monday, October 17th against the Ottawa Senators as they start the season on the road against the Lightning and Panthers.

23 games will be played at home on either Friday, Saturday and Sunday and every Original Six team will visit The Joe one final time.  

The Red Wings will end the season with back-to-back home games on Saturday, April 8th and Sunday, April 9th against the Montreal Canadiens and then will close the regular season at The Joe against the New Jersey Devils.
