Blake's annual Easter Brunch

Blake?s held its annual Easter Brunch. Families gather for the event as Blake?s Backyard laid out its spring/summer itinerary. At Blakes backyard, It?s a full working market. You can get hosting gifts wine, of course cider treats. Everyone enjoys and loves. We?re also a full greenhouse so we have trees and plants too. There?s also Blakes in Bloom event. Last fall.. they planted 100,000 tulip bulbs and they?re almost ready to go. Also, apple blossom tour coinciding at the same time. There?s also plenty of activities this summer for kids. They have an Appleseed camp at Blakes. It?s a three-day summer experience where kids get to unplug and explore the outdoors and learn about farming with hand-on experiences. Wild turkey causes chaos Indiana supermarket

An Indiana police officer is now "certified in poultry negotiations" after saving a grocery store from a wild turkey that was chasing customers and wreaking havoc inside. According to the St. Joseph County Police Department, someone from Martin?s supermarket called 911 to report a "really big" turkey chasing customers and knocking items off the shelves inside. When officers arrived, one said they should try to "herd" the turkey outside, but another said, "Let?s just grab him." As one officer bravely took on the turkey, you could hear another officer warning him to "watch for those top talons."

Inkster woman faces eviction after blowup with apartment owners, sues commission

Dasalla Scott, who has lived in Parkside Estates for 20 years, says it all started with a cheerful-looking flyer. The Inkster Housing Commission Property Walk says in the text that they want to meet residents and their families and to ensure somebody 18 or older is present. If no one is home, Inkster Housing said they will still enter the residence.

Local McDonald's raises funds for employee killed in April

Cassandra Cheathem was killed on April 10 while walking to work. She was struck by a car while heading to the McDonalds on Wayne Road. Police are still investigating, but that same business hoped to honor their employee as they worked to raise money for her family.

Search for London Thomas continues

The search for missing 17-year-old London Thomas continues after a check of her boyfriend's home Thursday turned up no answers. Thomas has been missing since April 5, when she was dropped off at the home.
