The heat and humidity will be sticking around through your Sunday with highs jumping into the 90s this afternoon. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and staying in the shade if you plan on being outside for an extended period of time. We should fall into the low 70s overnight. Though there is a slight chance for a stray shower on Monday, most of us will stay dry with temperatures tomorrow and through the week in the 80s and low 90s.

We still have 31 days left in summer and it is going to feel like it in Metro Detroit with highs this weekend in the upper 80s and low 90s. The humidity will be along for the ride as well. Under mostly sunny skies on Saturday, temperatures should soar to within a degree of 90 with overnight lows in the upper 60s. Double check to make sure your AC is working well because you will need it today, this weekend and all of next week.

If you love the heat and humidity, you are going to love everything about our next week in weather. We are expecting temperatures in the mid and upper 80s today under mostly sunny skies. Interesting enough, today should be our coolest day out of the next 7 days. 90s should come roaring back into town by Sunday and into next week. Though an isolated storm is possible on Sunday, most of us should stay dry. Make it a great weekend.

Enjoy the refreshingly cool weather Wednesday with highs in the upper 70s along with a light northerly breeze. This will lead to a very nice evening with lows falling into the upper 50s. Though we're a little warmer on Thursday, a big time warming trend is on the way this weekend with temperatures rocketing into the mid and upper 90s. We need to keep a close eye on next week. A few of our forecast models are indicating that a few 90s could pop up next week.

After a wet go of things on Sunday, we will hold on to just a few extra clouds today with highs back in the low 80s with lower humidity. Though a stray shower is possible, most areas should stay dry. With high pressure rolling into town Tuesday and Wednesday, not only will we dry things out, but we will also cool things down with highs only in the 70s. Enjoy it while it lasts because by the end of the workweek, we will jump back into the 80s.
