Monday storms roll through SE Michigan

(WJBK) - Some severe thunderstorm warnings have expired and or been canceled in the SE Michigan Monday afternoon.

Spotty storms are moving east at about 25 miles per hour, and carry 60 mile per hour wind gusts with some penny-size hail, according to the National Weather Service. 

Today the temperatures pushed 90 again, and you've probably felt the humidity out there. Dryer air with less humidity is on the way, though, with a cold front approaching this evening.

Before we see some of the relief, we'll be getting some showers and storms. 

The FOX 2 Weather Authority expects the morning to be mostly dry, but spotty showers are certainly possible. Wet weather is much more possible once we get into the afternoon. 

The storms will fade away as we head into the overnight hours.

Severe storms aren't likely, but it's not impossible to see this mix of storms turn severe. Some very heavy rainfall is also possible with any of these storms.

Temps will be pushing 90 degrees today, but with the cold front coming through we'll see temps in the low 80s on Tuesday and Wednesday, with overnight lows in the low 60s. The lower temps will stick around for the week, too, and we may see some more rain and storms this weekend.
