Bacon Bash in Royal Oak April 16

Join the celebration of all things covered, wrapped, and seasoned with bacon this weekend at the Royal Oak Farmer's Market. The 4th annual Bacon Bash is Saturday, April 16.

The event features bacon creations and cocktails from dozens of local restaurants, eateries and sweets boutiques.

The event begins at 7:30 p.m. for general admission and runs until 11:00 pm. General admission tickets are $55 and include unlimited food samples and 10 cocktail/beer samples. VIP tickets are $70 and include unlimited food samples, 15 cocktail/beer samples, as well as an extra hour of prime sampling with early entry at 6:30 pm. LOCKHART'S BBQ'S POBLANO BURGER
8oz brisket burger
2 deep fried onion rings
Roasted Poblano pepper Sauce
1 Tsb Sweet BBQ Sauce
2 pieces candied bacon
Brioche/Sweet bun

-Roasted Poblano Sauce
  1 tbsp bacon fat
  2oz roasted poblano peppers
  2 oz raw onions
  2 oz shredded pepperjack cheese
  1oz whole milk
  1oz sour cream
  salt & pepper to taste
   Saute raw onions in bacon fat with roasted poblano peppers, add milk and sour cream and reduce down with shredded cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Assembly:
-8oz brisket burger, cooked to your liking
-Place 1 Tsb Sweet BBQ sauce on bottom bun, top with cooked brisket burger
- place 2 pieces candied bacon on top of burger patty
-place onion rings on top of bacon and top with poblano sauce
-top with top bun.
