Cattle Baron's Ball Sept. 24
(WJBK) - Dust off your boots, don your denim and enjoy an evening of cowboy cruising and western fun while supporting a cancer-free world. The American Cancer Society Cattle Baron's Ball is Saturday, September 24 at Cobo Center in Detroit.
Since the Ball's debut, more than $14.1 million has been raised in support of the American Cancer Society's aggressive mission to save lives and achieve a world free from the pain and suffering of cancer by helping people stay well and get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back.

Smoked Turkey Tartine
INGREDIENTS
4ea panini bread, sliced lengthwise and grilled
16oz smoked turkey, sliced thin
4 tbsp cherry mostarda
4 tbsp pickled mustard seed
as needed heirloom kale, chiffonade
as needed frisée blonde, cleaned
To assemble:
1) Spread a thin layer of mostarda on each piece of grilled bread.
2) Arrange 4oz of thinly sliced turkey on each piece of bread.
3) Dress kale and frisée in a small amount of olive oil and some pickling liquid from the mustard seed and arrange on top of the smoked turkey.
4) Finish by spooning small piles of pickled mustard seed over the top of the dressed greens.
