Celebrate National Iced Tea Month in June

June is National Iced Tea Month, so we called in the expert to show us how to perfectly brew some tea. Anthony Capobianco from Zen Tea Traders joined us on The Nine to give us some insight.

He recommends pouring cold, filtered water over loose leaves and put it in the fridge for 10 hours. He says that brings out all the sweetness in the tea, so it won't be bitter like when you make tea with boiled stove water.

For those who still need a little sweetness to their tea, Anthony recommends adding agave instead of sugar.

"It doesn't spike insulin levels and that way you won't have a crash from it," he says. He adds that it doesn't alter the flavor of the tea, just heightens it.
