Making Anejo Juep for Cinco de Mayo/Kentucky Derby day

This weekend is the perfect combination of days: The Kentucky Derby and Cinco De Mayo. That calls for the perfect combination of drinks.

This year, Cinco de Mayo falls on the same day as the Kentucky Derby, and rather than choosing between a margarita and a mint julep, Roger Fruin from the Peterboro shows us how to make an Anejo Julep. It's so easy - it's only three ingredients!

2 oz Patrón Añejo
.5 oz. Agave syrup
6 Mint leaves

In the bottom of a julep cup, muddle the agave syrup and mint leaves.
Add crushed ice to fill.
Pour Patrón Añejo over the ice and stir lightly to mix all the ingredients.
Crown the drink with fresh crushed ice.
Garnish with a mint sprig.

Enjoy!
