Cyclist critically hurt in Detroit hit-and-run, police seek public's assistance

Police are asking for help identifying and locating a driver wanted for a critical hit-and-run crash with a pedestrian.

The incident took place at 10:20 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3 near Selden and Lincoln in Detroit.

Traveling northbound on Lincoln, the driver hit the bicyclist and fled the scene. The victim was left critically injured.

Police say the vehicle is described as a light colored 2007 - 2009 Mercury Milan or 2006 - 2009 Ford Fusion with damage on the right-side front.

The driver of the vehicle is not yet known.
