Distracted driving; "Hands-free" legislation
Texting while driving is illegal in Michigan, but people still do it all the time. Now, there's a chance Michigan could become a "hands-free" state. That means drivers couldn't use their cell phone in the car at all. Is that a good idea? And if it happens, will people even follow the law?
On the panel:
Jim Santilli, Executive Director of the Traffic Improvement Association
Officer John Cleveland, Ferndale Police Department
Mike Bernacchi, Professor, University of Detroit Mercy
