FOUND: 3-month-old who disappeared in stolen vehicle, Amber Alert canceled

A 3-month-old who went missing in a car that was reported stolen from a liquor store on Detroit's east side has been found safe, police have confirmed to FOX 2. The Amber Alert issued earlier has been canceled.  

Police say the baby had gone missing in a car that was stolen from a liquor store at 1 a.m. on Detroit's east side. Police say the father left the child inside of the car with the engine running and went inside McDonnel Drugs, which is on Harper Avenue between Whittier Avenue and Cadieux Road. When he came back out, the car was gone.

The baby was found around 8 a.m. Monday on the porch of a home not too far from the liquor store. She appears unharmed but has been taken to the hospital as a precaution. The car has not yet been recovered. It is a 2006 white, four-door Chevy Impala. Michigan State Police say the license plate is CPG-8598.

Police say the Impala has rear bumper damage, and the trunk will not close completely. The driver's side rar tail light is also broken out with red tape.
