Obama to rally for Michigan Democrats in Detroit today

DETROIT (WJBK) - Former President Obama is returning to the Motor City to campaign for Michigan Democrats this week ahead of November elections.
According to the Michigan Democratic Party, Obama will visit Detroit to campaign at an event this Friday with Democratic candidates, including Sen. Debbie Stabenow, gubernatorial candidate Gretchen Whitmer, congressional candidates Elissa Slotkin, Gretchen Driskell, Haley Stevens and Matt Longjohn.

You'll need a ticket if you'd like to attend the event. Tickets were free, but are no longer available. They were only available for a limited time on Wednesday to pick up from certain offices.
The event is at Cass Tech High School in Detroit on Friday, October 26.
Security will be tight at the school for the event. Students will be dismissed at 1 p.m., teacher parking lots will be cleared and all after school activities are canceled. Doors open for those with tickets at 5 p.m.
To those who got tickets -- tickets are required but do not guarantee admission. All attendees will go through airport-like security. Bring as few items as possible. No weapons, sharp objects, bags, umbrellas, liquids, or signs will be allowed. Cameras are permitted.
Also expected to attend are statewide and local elected officials such as Garlin Gilchrist II, and Eric H. Holder, Jr., the 82nd Attorney General of the United States and Chairman of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, as voters head to the polls to decide on a redistricting state ballot measure, Proposal 2.
