Pickup truck rams Detroit business, gets shot at by employee
DETROIT (FOX 2) - The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating and identifying a suspect in the break-in of an Eight Mile business on the city's west side.
Three suspects wearing ski masks and gloves broke into the store in the 20100 block of W. Eight Mile Road at 7 a.m. Dec. 30. They were driving a white Suburban SUV and a white Dodge Ram Pick-Up Truck.
It began with a suspect driving a white Dodge Ram pulled up to the location while two additional suspects exit a white SUV and approach the building on foot; one served as a look out person, while the other cased the building.
The driver of the Dodge Ram then backed into the building, damaging the window and making an entrance hole. As the driver was preparing to ram the building a second time, an employee, who was inside of the location fired shots in the direction of the suspects, resulting in the driver of the Ram driving away and the suspects fleeing. Police are unsure if any shots took effect.
Wanted: Three male suspects wearing all black clothing, ski masks and gloves. Wanted Vehicles: A white Suburban SUV and a white Dodge Ram Pick-Up Truck.
