Second fire strikes Macomb County apartments, investigation underway

A fire broke out at Stony Creek Apartments in Washington Township, leaving eight families without homes. Investigators are working to determine if the blaze is linked to one that occurred the day before. The community is collecting donations to support the displaced residents.

The Macomb County Sheriff's Office said on March 16, just before 4 p.m., a man named Michael Southworth allegedly smashed the driver-side window of a white Cadillac sedan at a Mobil Gas Station at 24 Mile Road and Shelby Road. This led to a car chase involving Michigan State Police (MSP) and Macomb County deputies.

Pontiac mother accused of abuse loses communication privileges

The order from Judge Cynthia Thomas Walker stated that Bryant was not to have any contact with her children or the caretaker in charge of them, in order to protect the judicial process and the alleged victims. She is accused of calling the caretaker at least 10 times and even having other inmates make calls.

Arbor one apartments condemned due to inhabitable conditions

Mold, leaky plumbing, and roaches are among the problems reported by many residents at Arbor One Apartments, including resident Reico McGuire. McGuire says since he moved in two years ago, he has experienced nothing but problems, from sewage issues to a lack of central air.

Holly teen and 21-year-old boyfriend accused in Metro Detroit crime spree

According to Holly police, Joseph Matthew McDonough and his 16-year-old girlfriend went to the teen's home that she shares with her 58-year-old mother on the afternoon of March 2. McDonough allegedly started beating the woman and demanding her car keys. The assault left the mother in critical condition.
