Dam task force made recommendations in 2021, causing $44 million in repairs to take place statewide

Following dams in the Midland area failing in 2020, the state's Dam safety task force made 86 recommendations to avoid failure of further dams. The more than 50 page report was filed in February of 2021, with many of the problems still needing to be addressed. The state spent $44 million on repairs in recent years.
