Comfort Cafe food truck returns downtown

(WJBK) - Food truck season is back upon us. Comfort Cafe serves up contemporary meals with Detroit inspiration. 

It's kicking off its season on March 25, 2018 at 10 a.m. during the All Things Detroit event in Eastern Market.

The Belle Isle is the newest item: two all beef Coney dogs topped with beef, chili, onions and mustard. The twist? The hot dogs are fried.

Favorites making a return are The Cadillac, a golden fried chicken & cornbread waffle sandwich topped with collard green slaw and drizzled with sriracha maple syrup; vegetarian-approved sandwich The Dequindre Cut: black eyed pea and brown rice patty topped with guacamole and pickled onions on a pretzel bun; and The Joy Road: the three cheese blend macaroni.
