Detroit Summer Youth Jam July 28

(WJBK) - Detroit Summer Youth Jam is a place where our youth and the Detroit Police Department can positively interact. The event also provides our youth with resources, education and entertainment that will encourage them to choose a "Path to Greatness".

Attendees have different stations to visit, and get a stamp on their "Path to Greatness" Passport for each booth they stop at. The more sessions they attend the more tickets they will receive.

Later in the evening, there will be live music and prizes. The youth together with the Detroit Police Department will recite a peace pledge making a promise of safety, peace and choosing a path of greatness.

Youth of all ages are welcome to come. It starts at 3 p.m. at the Chene Park Amphitheatre on Thursday, July 28. The concert starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m.
