O'Mara's 3rd annual Dinner with your Dog

(WJBK) - O'Mara's 3rd annual Dinner with your Dog is happening this weekend on Sunday, September 25 at O'Mara's Irish Pub in Berkley.

The dinner benefits Almost Home no-kill animal shelters of Southfield and West Bloomfield. All proceeds from each dog meal go to Almost Home. Each dog meal costs $5.95.

There's also an excellent menu for humans, as well as a 50/50 raffle, on-site pet adoptions and areas for your pets to play and be washed.

Cinnamon Rolls

1. ½ Cup warm water
3 Tablespoons yeast
2 Tablespoons sugar
Mix these ingredients together.

2. 1 package of Instant Vanilla Pudding
2 Cups of milk
2 beaten eggs
½ Cup of melted butter
Mix these ingredients together in a separate bowl then add to #1.

3. 8 Cups flour
1 teaspoon salt

Add #3 to mixture - mix until blended. Pour on floured surface and knead.
Knead approximately 5 minutes until smooth.
Put into oiled bowl and cover with plastic wrap.
Let stand until doubled in size.
Approximately 45 minutes.

While the dough is rising, mix together 3 cups of brown sugar and 3 tablespoons of cinnamon and melt ½ cup of butter. Keep this on reserve.

Put the dough on a floured surface and roll out to 18x32"
Brush with reserved melted butter and sprinkle brown sugar-cinnamon mixture on top.
Starting from the long side (32") roll up the dough.
Cut into 2" pieces.
Put the cut pieces on a tray layered with parchment paper.
Cover with plastic wrap and let rise until doubled in size.
Bake in 350 degree oven for about 15 minutes.
Let cool then frost with cream cheese frosting.
