It is a wedding many, many years in the making.

Saturday, April Deboer and Jane Rowse are were officially married.

What was supposed to be a small cermony grew to a guest list of more than 200.

Amanda Laidlaw, of Little help events said "this marks a turning of marriage in Michigan. And the rest of the nation for that matter."

Laidlaw is just one supporter from the community that donated free service for the couple's big day. The food, the drinks, the cake, the dresses, even the rings were all donated.

Michael Odom, Marx Layne spokesperson said "Marx Layne is proud to supply this wonderful event, and more personally, my husband and I have been together 23 years, we are very very excited and proud to be a part of this."

The guest count grew as local companies offered their support, hoping to thank April and Jayne, for the struggles they faced in the past few years, fighting for equality.

As soon as the ceremony is over, the happy couple will meet with the media, then be on their way to a private reception.
