Astronaut beams back picture of Detroit from space
SPACE - No need to beam up Scott Kelly, he's already there and he's chronicling his journey thousands of feet above Earth through Twitter. One of those was a shot of Detroit on Sunday.
The astronaut is spending a year in space in the International Space Station. Throughout his time orbiting the 3rd rock from the sun, he's snapping pictures of major cities, including Detroit.
He posted the tweet of Detroit as part of his #SundayNFLStadiumPicFromSpace. It was one of three that he posted on Sunday including New Orleans and Green Bay.
This week, he also posted a shot of California lit up at night, moonlight over Italy, and the Bahamas.
