Child left in parked car rescued

Fun fact of the day: A car's temperature will rise on average 19 degrees within the first 10 minutes of being parked in the sun.

And in these ever warming summer days, this can become a very lethal combination when a child is in the car. Unfortunately, another incident has been reported and caught on film in Kansas.

A strip mall manager noticed a very distraught toddler in a parked car during a nearly 100 degree day.

This story luckily has a happy ending. She took a tire iron to the car window, smashing it and rescuing the little girl.

The girl's aunt and uncle who showed up during the incident were ticketed for child endangerment.

And as for the lesson of the day? Don't leave toddlers, or any living thing for that matter, in a parked car in the summer.
