Faster Horses, a country music festival that has drawn crowds to Michigan International Speedway for more than a decade, won't happen this year.

At a time when fans are usually planning their camping arrangements for the July fest, organizers shared that there would be no Faster Horses in 2025. The decision to cancel the event is being called a pause by the fest.

"We are taking the year to make plans for a bigger and better Faster Horses for our fans that deserve the absolute best," organizers wrote in a social media post sharing the news.

Michigan state park campground rates increasing this summer

Your camping trip could cost a bit more after a rate increase for Michigan state park campgrounds goes into effect later this year.

Since 2013, Faster Horses has taken over MIS in Brooklyn for a days-long party featuring big artists and up-and-coming performers. Last year's headliners included Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, and Hardy.

Fans expressed mixed feelings on social media, with many disappointed that they would miss their summer tradition this year, and others bringing up deaths that have happened at previous festivals. Since 2021, there have been five deaths reported at Faster Horses, though none involved foul play, according to officials.
