Internet back online for WOW customers after weekend outage
Wide Open West (WOW)'s Internet service is back online for many metro Detroit customers Monday morning.
Vice President and General Manager Robert Dinardo says a large-scale attack on their domain servers is what left the area without Internet service over the weekend.
In other words, sounds like WOW got hacked.
Dinardo says services were restored at 1:30 a.m. Monday. He stresses this was not an attack on customer's information.
No word yet on if the company plans to compensate its customers for the inconvenience.
