Man accused of ISIS-style attack sentenced to probation
(WJBK) - The Dearborn Heights man accused of planning an ISIS-style attack on a Detroit church was sentenced Monday to probation.
Khalil Abu-Rayyan, 21, was given two years of probation after pleading guilty to a weapons charge stemming from his arrest last October.
He will also have to undergo drug testing and perform community service.
Abu-Rayyan has not been charged with terrorism, but according to the fbi, he told an undercover agent he planned to shoot up a local church.
He will face federal weapons and drugs charges next month.
