March for peace held in Detroit to honor National Crime Victim's Rights Week

The Detroit Police Department hosted a series of events this week to honor those who have lost their lives to crime.

To honor National Crime Victim's Rights Week, participants marched for peace today on Detroit's east side. They had a message for family members of crime victims: never forget.

"A lot of (people) think that after the homicide or something bad happens to their family that the organizations forgot about them, so we're just here today to show them that we haven't forgotten about their loved ones," said Patrice Young of Crime Stoppers.
