On Friday FOX 2 was proud to support women's heart health at the American Heart Association’s Go Red for women's luncheon.

February is all about making sure that women know how to take care of their heart and Michigan's Nicole Curtis of 'Rehab Addict' was there showing her support. Curtis spoke to us about how she cares for herself and family despite being a busy mom and HGTV star.

DEENA: You are a mother of two, you work a lot, how busy are you. what is your day to day like?"

"I don't know what it's like to be un-busy," she said. "But that's how I prefer it. When everything is busy you tend to keep everything fresh in your mind."

DEENA: Do you exercise, do you eat healthy, what do you do on a day to day basis?"

"We eat very healthy," she said. "It is all about eating fresh and organic. I love being at Eastern Market when we are here in Detroit and that is something that is a must for my family. Even though we are on the go, you don't have to eat on the go.

"I always have these really tacky satchels that I wear on my side so it's always got chopped apples or nut mixes, bananas. Every type of fresh fruit or dried fruit because we are traveling a lot."

Curtis also spoke about breakfast being a big part of her day.

"It's really important that every morning we start with a fresh breakfast," she said. "Everyone always thinks 'Are you seriously poaching eggs every single morning?' And I am. Because when you take that time first thing in the morning, it just makes you take a beat. When you take a beat it just sets the pace for the rest of your day.

"Listen, I wasn't this way at 20," she said. "I've learned that we have to take those steps to put the healthiness into our schedule because if you don't, you are never going to fit it in."
