Police release video of motorcyclist crashing through wall in Allen Park

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WJBK) - A video of a motorcyclist crashing through a building's brick wall was released by police. Allen Park police released photos and video of the incident, which happened at Allen and Southfield roads.

The driver visited the Allen Park Police Department Monday and "picked up what was left of the motorcycle," the Allen Park Facebook page said.

The rider's motorcycle malfunctioned mechanically leading him to ride directly into the building. He suffered non-life threatening injuries including some broken bones, police said.

Police said the man, who was not named, allowed the department to release the images and video.

"We are told by his friends that they have changed his name to, wrecking ball. Glad he is OK and whoa what a video," the Allen Park police Facebook page said.
