A Pontiac man led police on a chase while riding a minibike.

A police chase through Pontiac was captured on dash cam.

But in this case, Samuel Garcia tried to get away on a mini bike, after speeding down the sidewalk.

The 22-year-old Pontiac man faces several charges including fleeing and eluding police, obstructing and resisting arrest and driving an unregistered motor vehicle on the road way.

"It's a serious matter but also a little amusing," said Undersheriff Michael McCabe of the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. "When you see the video you say, did that just happen."

"He was riding down the sidewalk, a deputy observed him; the whole thing took maybe 60 seconds."

That was still plenty of time for Garcia or someone else to get hurt.

McCabe said he was going 25 or 30 miles an hour when he made an unexpected move on Green Street, riding into the house and slamming the door.

It was a relative's house where deputies kicked the door in and took Garcia into custody - ending what can only be described as an odd, yet wild, ride.

"When you see the lights and sirens pull over," McCabe said. "That's the best advice I can give you."
