Red Wings' Drew Miller takes skate to the face

Miller, who wears a face guard, was caught by the blade from his beardline, over his cheek bone and went to his eye. The team said his vision wasn't affected. 

Miller was cut twice by the skate blade. Coach Mike Babcock said Miller will likely have a "big-time scar" but should return Thursday, which would continue his games-played streak to 159 straight. Miller told reporters on Wednesday that not only will he play Thursday, he wanted to go back into the game Tuesday during the third period! He was rushed from the ice and immediately got treatment that included stitches. The picture of the cut is pretty graphic:
