Reports: Michigan company Olga's Kitchen files for bankruptcy

 According to published reports, Olga's Kitchen filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Thursday.

The longtime Mediterranean restaurant chain, founded in Birmingham filed in U.S Bankruptcy Court in Detroit - with listed assets and liabilities of $1 million to $10 million.

The chain is said to owe millions to creditors, among them - $2.4 million to Citizens Bank, $1.2 million to Sysco Corp and almost $104,000 to law firm Dickinson Wright PLLC of Detroit.

Founder Olga Loizon opened her first restaurant in 1970 and now has 105 locations.
