Vehicle stolen from Chicago found burning along rural Michigan road

Michigan State Police troopers responding to a vehicle fire Tuesday discovered that it was stolen from Chicago.

The vehicle was burning on a rural road in Eaton County. After the flames were out, a cadaver dog checked to make sure no bodies were in the vehicle.

Detectives and crime analysts were able to find identifying information about the vehicle that helped them discover it was stolen.

As troopers continue to investigate, they are returning the vehicle to Chicago police.
