Maurielle Lue hits the Green with Sports Legends for a Great Cause
video

Our own Maurielle Lue was on the green at the 15th Annual Jalen Rose Leadership Academy Celebrity Golf Classic, where stars like Jalen Rose, Braylon Edwards, Calvin “Megatron” Johnson, Isiah Thomas, and Tobias Harris came together to raise funds for Detroit students and celebrate community impact. The event also marked the public announcement of a major investment: Henry Ford Health is committing $5 million to help JRLA build a brand-new, permanent campus on the former Kingswood Hospital site—an expansion that will give more Detroit students access to a world-class education. While the day was packed with purpose, there were plenty of fun moments—including a lighthearted exchange between Maurielle and 6'8" Detroit Pistons star Tobias Harris. Standing at 5'2", Maurielle asked if he’d ever been interviewed by someone this short. With a grin, Harris replied that she may not have been the shortest—but definitely one of the tallest, in spirit. It was a day full of laughter, generosity, and Detroit pride—on and off the course. The Nine: talking about the latest news you're talking about in Detroit and across the country.
