Man to stand trial on charges related to hit-and-run

The crime happened in August when Dearborn police say the driver intentionally barreled into someone and never stopped. Meanwhile, the victim, who is well known around Dearborn, is still fighting to survive months later.

Troy assault suspect given $5.5 million bond

Andrew Hall was charged in Oakland County on more than a dozen violent felony counts, including strangulation, unlawful imprisonment, and aggravated assault. The presiding judge said Hall had confessed to crimes in both the attack at a Target parking lot in Troy and behind a building in Detroit.

Hundreds of Detroiters now homeowners

Thanks to the Make It Home program in Detroit, another 181 residents now own houses themselves. The program has already helped 1,700 reach the milestone.
