Dozens of flights delayed, cancelled at Detroit Metro Airport

As the government shutdown stretches into it's second month, flights are being delayed and cancelled in an attempt to lighten the workload on air traffic controllers since they are working without pay. Camille Amiri was at the airport talking with travelers on Saturday.

Freighter freed from Detroit River

The self-unloading ship is identified as the Rt. Hon. Paul J. Martin. It was freed Saturday afternoon, less than a day after it ran aground and was stuck in the Detroit River.

Two men shot dead at an auto shop, suspect search continues

Shelby Township police say that around 12:28 this afternoon, they were sent to ‘Star Auto Sales’ on Ryan Road, near Auburn Road. When they arrived, two men were found dead inside. One was a 48-year-old man from Clinton Township, and the other was a 40-year-old from Shelby Township.

Nationwide order to reduce flights in effect at DTW

Travelers are definitely prepared for the unexpected, as on Thursday, airlines began canceling hundreds of flights across the country. The FAA ordered them to reduce flights at the forty busiest airports, which includes DTW.
