Blue Monday raising awareness for men's health

In 2015, MIU Men's Health Foundation launched "Blue Monday" to kick-off Men's Health Week, and while Blue Monday will be recognized in cities across the country, the MIU Men's Health Foundation is kicking off the celebration in the heart of Detroit.

On June 13, 2016 at noon, the MIU Men's Health Foundation will be joined by Ken Griffey Sr., who is bringing the "Men Who Speak Up" campaign to Detroit to encourage an open dialogue between fathers and sons about men's health issues in front of the Spirit of Detroit, which will be wearing a Blue Monday t-shirt for Men's Health Week. People are asked to wear blue!

This is part of a week of events raising awareness about men's health and it all leads up to the Father's Day Run for the Ribbon event at the Detroit Zoo. Run for the Ribbon raises awareness about prostate cancer and men's health.
