2-year-old shot on Detroit's east side

A 2-year-old girl was shot Detroit's east side Sunday and has been left in serious condition.

The incident took place on the 6200 block of Crane Street. The child was inside the home with her family.

Shots were heard outside and a bullet came through the wall, sticking the little girl in the lower back side.

She is being treated at Detroit Children's Hospital.

Police could be seen walking in and out of the house collecting evidence. There is no information on the suspect or if the house was targeted.

“It makes me angry. I leave a birthday party of little kids playing … so I can get home and a baby has been shot,” said a neighbor. “All this shooting and killing … What’s wrong? (Does) nobody love anybody anymore? I mean, everybody is in this hate mode.”
