As kids head back to school, parents deal with "super lice"

As kids head back to school in the Tampa Bay area, it also means it's peak season for head lice.

This year, the majority of states are dealing with what some health experts have called "super lice."

In 42 out of 48 states, including Florida, 100 percent of lice that was tested had evolved to be resistant to the drugs used in most over-the-counter lice treatments.

As for home remedies, there is no evidence they work either. Olive oil, mayonnaise and Vaseline may not be a good idea.
