Man arrested for allegedly peeping into Royal Oak woman's home

ROYAL OAK, Mich. (WJBK) - A 47-year-old man from Clinton Township was arrested for allegedly peeping and knocking on a woman's bedroom windows in Royal Oak.
Police say they responded to a call around 4:50 a.m. Wednesday from a residence in the 2100 block of Dallas. A woman reported a man had knocked on her bedroom windows from outside.
When police arrived, they spotted a man disappearing in the backyard of her home, then quickly getting into a vehicle parked down the block. The driver began to speed away from police as they converged on the vehicle, heading onto I-696. The driver was able to elude officers so a description was sent out to other departments.
A Ferndale police officer spotted the suspect's vehicle at a convenience store near 9 Mile and Pinehurst. The man was taken into custody and handed over to Royal Oak police. He was identified as Norman Korzec and he was charged with fleeing and eluding police and trespassing.
Police say his criminal history includes convictions for indecent exposure, window peeping, domestic violence, home invasion, resisting arrest, and receiving and concealing stolen property.
Korzec's bond was set at $50,000 cash, no 10 percent.
