A 23-year-old customer at a Coney Island in Detroit is in critical condition after being shot in the leg. The man who allegedly did the shooting is the owner of the restaurant.

The shooting happened around 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Motor City Coney Island at the corner of McNichols and Oakland.

The victim told police he was asked to leave the restaurant. He says he did and then came back later.

He says after he left a second time, he was shot by the owner of the restaurant as he was walking across the street. Police say he was hit in the leg. The suspect, a 45-year-old man, was arrested.

Just last week, another customer at a Detroit business was shot by an employee after an argument. The shooting at the gas station, though, was fatal.

The 26-year-old gas station clerk has been charged with murder in connection with the 34-year-old customer's death.

Change Agent Consortium, a nonprofit activist organization, has already rallied for justice for the gas station customer. They say they plan to rally on Monday for justice for the Coney Island victim as well, who they say was an unarmed black man.
